Who publishes this site?

AI Act Insight is published by a natural person, in a non-professional capacity. French Law No 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy relieves a non-professional publisher of the duty to publish their identity, on two conditions: that the host’s details appear below, and that the publisher has given their identity to that host. Both are met.

That identity remains disclosable to the judicial authority on requisition. The host is bound by professional secrecy in respect of it.

Who hosts this site?

A note, rather than a blank. French law asks for the host’s telephone number. Hostinger publishes none — not on its contact page, not in its privacy policy, not in its terms. Its channels are live support and email. We state what the host actually publishes, and flag what it does not, rather than reproduce a number found on a third-party business directory.

What this site is, and what it is not

It is sourced regulatory information. It is not legal advice. Every statement published here is tied to an article and a paragraph of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, or to an identified and dated official document. That is the site’s editorial rule, and it is checked automatically on every publication.

That does not make these pages an opinion on your situation. A legal text cannot be read apart from the case it is applied to: classifying a system, allocating the provider and deployer roles, assessing a risk — all depend on facts this site does not know. For a decision that binds you, consult a legal professional.

The authentic text remains the one published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The consolidated versions cited here are documentation tools with no legal value of their own — EUR-Lex says so itself.

Intellectual property

The official texts quoted belong to their authors, not to this site. Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the European Commission’s guidelines and the documents of national authorities are reproduced here in quotation marks, with their source, under the right of quotation and the Union’s document reuse policy.

Everything else — the structure of the pages, the analysis, the cautions, the way the articles are connected — is protected by copyright. Reproduction without authorisation is prohibited, save for short quotations accompanied by the site’s name and a link to the source page.

The AI Act Insight name and the domain aiactinsight.eu may not be used without written authorisation.

What is the publisher’s liability?

The site is published as is, with no guarantee of completeness. The publisher applies the verification described above, but the law moves: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 was amended on 27 July 2026 by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, and several instruments announced by the Commission had not been published as at the update date of each page.

Every page carries its update date. A page read long after that date may describe a state of the law that has since changed. The publisher cannot be held liable for a decision taken on the strength of these pages alone.

This site links to external sources, chiefly institutional ones: EUR-Lex, the European Commission, the French data protection authority, the standardisation bodies. The publisher controls neither their content nor their availability, and these links imply no endorsement of what they contain.
